Teachers talking about teaching excellence

Education is full of jargon and at CRPS we are as guilty of that as anyone. This idea of a Shared Vision of Instructional Excellence can be translated to say:

  1. This is about teachers defining together what makes good teaching – what it looks like in the classroom
  2. This is about focusing on helping children learn by teachers helping each other be better teachers
  3. This is about teachers being learners as a model for students being learners
  4. This is about CRPS creating an expectation that teachers continually improve their practice and then supporting their efforts to achieve this important goal

(research demonstrates that the single most important factor in students learning is teaching excellence and it is twice as important as any other factor)

Teachers and/or principals are the best people to have conversations with about this.  You can also see the CRPS web-site for information on whole child educationClick here for more information about Instructional Excellence.
