I love this picture with two Exshaw School students telling the Canmore Rotary Club members about their camp experience that was supported by Rotary.  Principal Paula Hanson  introduced them and the Rotary members were happy to see the impact of their generosity.  Paula and other staff from Exshaw School gave an overview of the programs at the school, the Rotarians ate breakfast, visited with students, and then had their meeting.  Thanks to Canmore Rotary for your many years of support for learning at Exshaw School.

On June 14th I attended the Exshaw School Grade 8 Farewell.  15 students completed grade 8 and most of them are moving on to Grade 9 at CCHS.  Teacher Wade Jarvis did a wonderful rendition of the Dr. Zeus story – “The Places you’ll go” and he had a verse for every student that was both accurate and touching.  Watching the students give speeches and accept awards really demostrated how important the Rotary support is in helping these students create a future through pursuing education.  Kudos also to all the teachers and staff at Exshaw School for creating an atmosphere that supports caring and learning – Inspiring Hearts and Minds in action!
