1. Tuesday May 1st. – 2:30 Jane’s Walk. Celebrating Our Community Builders
The Banff Ideas Bank, Town of Banff, and The Banff Community Foundation invite you the second annual Jane’s Walk. Meet at Rundle United Church where honourary guides Ralphine Locke and Jack Boham will lead the group, sharing memories and inspiring conversation related to some of our Beaver Street landmarks. From Rundle United we will stop at St. George’s in the Pines, Banff Firehall, Luxton home… where else? Based on Jane Jacob’s philosophy related to getting to know our neighbourhoods, the walking tour will conclude at the Banff Scout and Guide Hall, in time for the SHINE Party.
 
2. Tuesday May 1st 4:30 – 6 pm PARTY
Launch of SHINE 2012… Thanks for Giving – What is SHINE? Come to the launch party to find out. This new initiative, convened by the Town of Banff, The Banff Ideas Bank, Banff Volunteer Centre and The Banff Community Foundation will celebrate and inspire our unique community spirit for years and years to come. 3. Thursday May 10th 4 – 6 pm The Banff Community Foundation’s 7th Annual Spring for Community – Elevate Banff,  The Fenlands
Ian Bird, President & CEO, Community Foundations of Canada, will share Governor General of Canada David Johnston’s vision of a “Smart and Caring” nation and Jeff Melanson, President of The Banff Centre will reveal why he chose to relocate his family from Toronto, to Banff National Park.   Please join us.  For tickets, call Nancy at 403 – 762 – 8549.
