New Superintendent for CRPS – What do we want/need?

The search is on for a new Superintendent for Canadian Rockies Public Schools as Brian Callaghan is retiring at the end of this school year after 22 years.  The 1st step in our search process is to create an ideal candidate profile.  Three key questions being asked of teachers and support staff, school councils and some students are:

  1. What are the strengths of our school division that the successful candidate will need to build on?
  2. What are the challenges facing our school division now and in the future; that the new superintendent will need to address?
  3. What are the key leadership qualities/competencies necessary to be an effective superintendent for our school division?
